A must for fans of 'The Wicker Man', the 1973 film starring Edward Woodward as the straitlaced policeman who was ultimately ritually sacrificed, as the bar of the 'Green Man' in that film was, in fact, the bar of the Ellangowan. (No, I don't know if the landlord's daughter looks like Britt Ekland.)
An imposing building, built of local granite at the end of the 19th century, most of the hotel's comfortable bedrooms have en suite facilities. All have television and tea/coffee making facilities. |
